Michaela Scowen

Business Support Assistant

Tell us about you

Mum to two incredible little people, who certainly keep me on my toes. I’m a Netball player, coach, umpire, and captain. A wine and Gin lover.

Tell us about your role and how you can help / support

I take care of all the things in office, making sure we are organised, compliant and everything is running ok. I’m the one who makes things look ‘nice’, I take the teams knowledge and pop it down into a design that resonates with our clients. I send out the updates, the social media posts, and newsletters… and who thought these interviews might be a good idea…

A day in the life of Business Support

No two days are ever the same. Some days I will be creating lovely marketing pieces, other times I will be chasing the team for their timesheet, inputting client date into various systems or making sure we have enough post-it notes in the office.

What do you love most about your role?

The freedom to be creative! I love taking the content from the team to put together something for our clients. Every day there will be something different.

What’s your greatest achievement?

Other than the two little people… surviving lockdown in a house that we’d only bought a month before, that was stuck in the 1960s, without a sofa, the shower leaking through the kitchen ceiling and a hallway that had red walls and a green patterned carpet with a lava lamp!

Oh, and also volunteering at the London 2012 Olympics.

Who is your role model?

I have a few role models but one I would have to say is Geva Mentor – International England Netball player.

How do you switch of and take some time out?

Usually playing netball but when I’m not on the netball court then a beach walk or a glass of wine with my favourite people.
